Baduy Tribe lives secludedly in the forest of Kendeng Hill in Banten province, about 40-kilometer away from Rangkasbitung. Baduy Tribe survives with the authenticity, here you will see the difference between two tribes (Inner and Outer Baduy). Baduy Dalam (Inner Baduy) keeps the ancient rules and follows the rigid taboo system strictly. It typically rejects the touch of modernity and technology. Meanwhile, Baduy Luar (Outer Baduy) is more willing to accept modern influence in their daily life such as technology, electronic devices, and modern clothing. Most of the Baduy people are farmers and make woven handicraft products. Interestingly, there is a lot of great trekking to do and traditional villages to explore.

Inner Baduy Tribe: Living in Authenticity and Rejecting Technology
Baduy tribe is a unique society. Stay overnight in Inner Baduy and follow the strict rules of the customs there. Don’t use modern devices such as electronic and chemicals product (soap, shampoo, detergent, and perfume). This private trip includes train tickets from Jakarta, air-conditioned vehicle service, English speaking guide, homestay in Inner Baduy, and Meals (3x). Departing from Tanah Abang Station in Jakarta, go to Rangkasbitung train station. Then, meet our representative who will take you to Ciboleger village by car.
Explore the Baduy tribe’s natural beauty and daily activities. Baduy traditional house is built from the local natural resources such as rumbia roof and bamboo’s wall. Start your trekking after lunch to reach Gazebo village from Outer Baduy, passing traditional bridge from bamboo and tree root. The best part of this trekking activity is being close to nature. Along the way, we will pass through wild grasses and trees contrast with the blue sky which presents a refreshing view. Take a lot of photos while we still in Outer Baduy since the camera and electronic devices are strictly prohibited when you arrive in Inner Baduy.
Inner Baduy tribe attracts tourists by its authenticity and strict traditional rules. You will spend a night in Cibeo Village of Inner Baduy. Experience its life without electricity and modern gadgets in Inner Baduy. Please keep all your electronic belongings, no photos at all and please keep silent. There is no bathroom in Inner Baduy since all toilet activities are carried out on the river. There is no bed facility and you will sleep on the floor at the homestay. So, you should bring your warm clothes or a jacket.
