Another place to visit is Tirta Gangga. The word “Tirta Gangga” can be literally translated as “Water of the Ganges” is a maze of pool and fountains. Built in 1946 by the late King of Karangasem, this building was believed to be a royal bathing pool. Walk along the stone path maze and capture a memorable photo with the golden Koi fish.
Sitting on the peak of Mount Lempuyang in the East part of Bali, this temple is also known as “The Gate to Heaven ”. This ancient temple is considered the oldest and sacred temple on the island. Besakih temple, also known as “Mother Temple” is used for prayers, celebrations, or burial celebrations. The complex comprises 18 sanctuaries scattered over a vast area, making it the largest temple in Bali. Since the Gelgel dynasty ruled Bali, this temple has been regarded as a central sacred temple for the entire island. Located at an altitude of about 1.000 m and surrounded by lush rice paddies and forest, you will feel the serene ambiance and peaceful atmosphere here. To enter this temple tourists should wear a proper cloth that covers their body part (chest, arms, and legs).
