The driver will transfer you to the pier and ride a boat to cross the island. It takes about 20 – 35 minute to Samalona Island or about 1 hour to Kodingareng Keke Island. The island trips also depend on weather condition, if the weather is fine you will go to Kodingareng Keke Island and if the weather doesn’t improve you will stop at Samalona Island. Prepared your snorkeling equipment then take your time to snorkeling around the island. A crystal clear sea-water makes Kodingareng Keke and Samalona Island very easy to snorkel or swim. Exploring The History of Makassar: Fort Rotterdam and Paotere Harbor
After arrive at the pier, the driver will pick you up and continue to visit Fort Rotterdam which was one of Dutch military architecture heritage in Indonesia. This Fort also established the museum called La-Galigo Museum where you can exhibiting various collections such as a model of the fort, ethnographic displays, musical instruments and reconstructions of archaeological sites. After that, visit old Port of Makassar, called Paotere, it is home to famous Phinisi Boats. End the tour and the driver will transfer you back to the hotel, port or airport.
Kodingareng Keke Island is a truly paradise for snorkeling. A beautiful island with a clean beach and sparkling blue sea-water which suitable for snorkeling. Also, there are some gazebos or shelters that can be used by visitors to take some rest
